WHY DO I NEED TO USE AN EXFOLIATING FACIAL CLEANSER?

An exfoliating facial cleanser is ideal to rid face of dead skin cells and promote faster cell renewal.  Build up from pore clogging dead skin cells can leave skin with a dull, dry or rough appearance or texture.  Clogged pores can also contribute to acne breakouts.  Exfoliation softens and improves skin’s texture. Exfoliation 1-2 times per week may also cause skin to be more receptive to topical ingredients in your facial moisturizers and serums.

WHAT IS THE SECRET TO AGELESS SKIN?

  • Obtain adequate sleep, minimize stress and exercise consistently.

  • Use sunscreen daily, SPF 30 or greater.

  • Stop intentionally sunbathing and use a self-tanner.

  • Gently cleanse skin to remove makeup, pollution, dirt and other substances.

  • Be mindful of your facial expressions. Repetitive facial expressions, over an extended period of time, can result in permanent lines on your face.

  • Eat a well balanced diet full of fruits, vegetables, foods rich in vitamin A  and omega 3 fatty acids and free of processed and fried foods. 

  • Refrain from eating foods that are high in salt/sugar.

  • Keep alcohol intake at a minimum.  Excessive consumption of alcohol dehydrates the skin, which can make you look older.

  • Drink plenty of water and eat fruits and vegetables high in water content to keep skin hydrated.

  • Refrain from smoking. Tobacco accelerates how skin ages.

  • Try sleeping on your back instead of your side/stomach and use silk/satin pillowcases.  

  • ​Use skin care products rich in anti-aging technology such as peptides, ceramides, hyaluronic acid, coupled with emollients, antioxidants and amino acids that are specially formulated to target and reduce visible signs of aging.
